TESTIMONIALS

I am lucky enough to have traveled on the Peru, Italy, and Australia/New Zealand/Hawaii tours, all equally amazing adventures. I once read a quote that said, "Travel is the only thing you can buy that makes you richer" but I did not fully understand what that meant until I was able to experience it for myself. Each trip promised something new to see and so much to learn; they never failed to be awe-inspiring. The wonderful experiences on these tours have planted the seed for endless plans to travel the world!

"Hello this is Fabrizio from Italy, I have been a professional guide for nearly 20 years now, but I have never found such a powerful group of teachers leading their students abroad! I have been traveling with them throughout Europe several times, and each time it has

been a wonderful and positive experience for everybody. Camille, Pamela, Peter, and Erik know what they are doing, simply beacuse they like what they are doing.

1 - they enjoy being with their students supporting with their experience and human touch. 2 - they love traveling and discovering , and they are able to transmit this. I have always been impressed they way their students act responsibly during our travels, it seems that they respect their teachers since their teachers respect them. Traveling, learning, having fun, growing up, this is what traveling with these guys is all about!"

"Meeting and guiding your group through the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site was one of my most memorable experiences as a Tour Guide in Munich for the past six years.  I was immediately struck by how well the students had been prepared by their teachers/group leaders for the location we were about to visit.  Not only were they armed with essential historical background information, but they also had a deep understanding of the venerability of the location and the appropriate respectful behavior required during our visit.  I was truly impressed by the group’s level of interest and continuous attention during the entire duration of the tour.  Any worry I would have about boredom setting in was quickly put to rest each time I looked at the students’ faces and saw wide eyes looking back at me as if to say:  Tell us more!  Their well thought out questions and poignant comments served as constant encouragement for me to go further and give more.  I felt incredibly fulfilled and proud of the work I do.  It was a joy to work with this wonderful group of students and teachers, and I thank them for reminding me of how much I love my job!"

"The EF Tour trips to Peru, Italy and Greece have been incredible experiences for my daughters. I was apprehensive and nervous when I first signed my daughters up to travel. Both girls had never traveled outside of the USA and both have food allergies that had potential to ruin their trips if they ingested the allergen [gluten]. However, I had the utmost faith in Ms. Tedeschi & Ms. Piffard and in my daughters too that every precaution would be taken to keep the girls healthy. I am happy to say that the girls never got sick and were well taken care of by their teachers and tour guides. The team of chaperones went above and beyond in making sure my daughters ate safely- to the point of even packing gluten- free food in their personal luggage. But what stands out most about their trips is that both girls had the times of their lives. they saw amazing sites and had so much fun with their teachers and fellow students. it was an opportunity for them [at an affordable cost] to travel and to get to know those who traveled with them. They have so many fantastic memories of their trips! I will always be grateful to Ms. Tedeschi, Ms. Piffard, Mr. Bruckbauer, Mr. Crugnale and the other chaperones for the opportunity they have given my daughters."

"Everything was perfect! Kids had a great time. Definitely a top ten in high school experiences. Maybe the top 3! All of the communications, meetings and handouts were great. It gave us parents a lot of security as in this team knows what they are doing. I do not see how you could have done anything better."

- Sarah Acton [parent]

"The trip to Peru just repeated and confirmed the wonderful experience my daughter Gilda had previously while traveling with this team to Greece & Turkey. From my perspective it was even a more unique learning experience this time si nce the group was exposed to an environment very different to the USA or Europe. The trips, tours and free time were perfectly organized and everyone knew what to expect including us, the parents. Being miles and miles away we could figure out our child's whereabouts and that made me feel confident and secure about the care of my daughter while on tour. The decision making, endurance, responsibility and care fo each other was enhanced and appreciated all under the surveillance and support of Ms. Tedeschi, Ms. Piffard, Mr. Bruckbauer, Mr. Crugnale, and the rest of the chaperones. Lookign forward to Belize and more!"

"The thing about wanderlust is that, no matter how much you travel, it never goes away. Ms. Tedeschi has given me the opportunities to feed this love for travel, not merely by making trips available, but by making these trips absolutely phenomenal. Having gone to two different continents and through countless countries with Ms. Tedeschi’s & Ms. Piffard's tour groups, I’ve not just brought home more souvenirs than I should’ve bought, but also memories, lessons, and aspirations for future travel—all things I wouldn’t have had without the exposure to different cultures, languages, and traditions that I was lucky enough to get in high school. Experiencing history off the pages of textbooks has been one of the most rewarding aspects of travel, and through the lens of such inspirational teachers, even more illuminating."

Going to Australia was always a dream of mine, and when I heard that a bunch of other senior students wanted to make that our senior trip I knew I had to get involved and go on what would be the trip of a life time. I couldn’t of asked to go on the trip with a better bunch of people, everyone was just so open to adventure and make every second so enjoyable. EF Tours really put together an extraordinary trip with so many things to do and to see. Through the course of our travels we met so many wonderful people that have opened my mind to the world and made me see life through another culture. The trip was worth every penny and I'm so glad to have been apart of such an amazing experience.

"You can take my kids anywhere!"

"It has been an absolute pleasure working with Ms. Piffard and Ms. Tedeschi to grow their educational travel program at Huntington High School. Since joining the EF Educational Tours family in 2007, they have been able to share their love of traveling, language, and culture with over 300 Huntington students to destinations such as Peru, Belize, Spain, Greece, Italy, and Australia. Here at EF, we are always looking to develop sustainable educational travel programs in schools to instill the desire to travel in students.  It is incredibly valuable for us team up with teachers like Ms. Piffard and Ms. Tedeschi who share these same core values of travel and education. Thank you to Ms. Piffard, Ms. Tedeschi, and Huntington High School for partnering with EF to grow your global education program.  See you in England, France, Spain and Italy in 2014!"

"Thank you so much for all that you do to make these trips a success for everyone! I have to say I have been anxious about many aspects of this trip until last night! I feel very comfortable to hear that it is tightly monitored. I wish I were going.

"Traveling to Italy my junior year of high school was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I will probably never get another amazing opportunity like that again. I had never been out of the country before, and it was awesome to experience a country with a different language and customs.  Not only that, but doing it with my friends from school and getting to know other peers too! One of my favorite parts of the trip was going to all of the historical places we learn about in school; especially the city of Pompeii and the Colosseum in Rome. Going on that trip through EF Tours with people from high school was definitely an opportunity of a lifetime

"Dan and I would like to thank you and the "team" so much for making Sam's trip to Greece such a wonderful and memorable experience. IT was terrific to hear his impression of the country, the people and the history. When your child says that one of his strongest memories would be the view of the Aegean Sea from the Temple of Poseidon, all I could sat was WOW! I cannot imagine how much hard work and planning goes into making a trip like this happen.  We thank you and your fellow teachers for your time, energy and good humor and for enabling our children to have this experience. Sam said how great it was to be able to get to know his teachers and friends on a more personal level and how nice everyone was.  We deeply appreciate that Sam was in such good hands.

"Honestly I had the most amazing time in Peru. It was unlike any place I've ever been in my entire life and it was definitely an eye opening experience. I actually saw firsthand what it's like to live in a third world country. It sounds cliche but the trip made me appreciate everything I have and not to take even the little things for granted. I knew that I genuinely enjoyed the trip because although I was happy to be home, I missed Peru the next day. It was weird to wake up in my own room and not go down to breakfast with everyone. I will never forget teh trip and it will absolutely be one of the highlights of my high school experience. Ms. Tedeschi and all of the chaperones did an unbelievable job. I always tell my mom how it makes all of the difference in the world that you chose the best teachers to chaperone the trip.  I felt completely comfortable and confident that all of you would watch out for us, but at the same time I felt lik you treated us like young adults and gave us a respectable amount of freedom. I never formally got to thank any of you so I am saying it now. Thank you Ms. Tedeschi, Ms. Piffard, Mr. Bruckbauer & Mr. Crugnale!

- Lucie Gulino [former student]

"Those fears that you have that you think you'll never get over, In Costa Rica, I had to face so many of them, and I met some wonderful people that helped me with them. I'd have to say these trips give you insight to certain things you might never find at home. They push you conquer certain fears and I was extremely grateful for that."
